About WhatAreThose
WhatAreThose INC builds scan-to-list software for people who move real volume in sneakers, streetwear and trading cards — full-time resellers, consignment shops, and side-hustle flippers who have outgrown spreadsheets and a wall of browser tabs.
Why it exists
Sourcing is the fun part. Keying 60 pairs into a listing form one at a time is not, and it's the reason hauls sit in a pile for weeks. One photo should be enough to start a listing, so we built that.
Who's behind it
WhatAreThose INC is a small, self-funded team. Founder name, photo and X/LinkedIn links are going up here shortly — we're not publishing an invented bio in the meantime. Reach us through the contact form on the homepage; a human answers.
Where we're at (updated February 2026)
WhatAreThose is early and we'd rather show the build log than invent user counts or five-star quotes. Everything below is live in the product today.
- Feb 2026 — Similar-match verification: tap a detected item and compare visual variants before you commit to a SKU.
- Jan 2026 — Official 21-column Whatnot CSV export, plus mobile share/download.
- Jan 2026 — Card-specific fields (card number, set, variant, grade) instead of sneaker fields on card scans.
- Dec 2025 — Stripe billing with self-serve cancellation in the billing portal.
Not live yet: direct cross-listing and auto-delisting to eBay, StockX, GOAT and Alias.
Straight answers
Payments run through Stripe; you cancel yourself in the billing portal. Direct cross-listing and auto-delisting to eBay, StockX, GOAT and Alias isn't live yet.
